Art & Soul Membership Application Information
Thank you for your interest in becoming part of Art & Soul Studios gallery.
The gallery, in a warm and welcoming setting,
displays a selection of the finest art and most distinctive craft of local artists and artisans.
As a cooperatively run gallery, Art & Soul is owned and operated by its artists.
All members share the responsibility for keeping the gallery functioning and successful.
We fill membership openings based on several criteria:
quality of work, current membership openings, existing work mix within the gallery,
and the applicant's ability to fulfill all the requirements of co-op membership.
Artist Benefits:
· Equal space within the gallery's salon-style display
· Gallery website page of work and bio/statement
· Personal choice of works to display and price in gallery
· Monthly opportunity to rotate and replace works
· Full calendar of openings and sales events
· Yearly featured artist show
· Available studio/classroom space, and teaching opportunities
· Advertizing of gallery and Clay St. events via print, cards, and patrons list
· Vested sales support interest of all members in selling work.
· Working and collaborating with a diverse group of artistic professionals
· Reasonable membership dues and gallery commissions
Artists Responsibilities:
· Work two gallery shifts (4 hour each) per month
· Serve on at least one gallery operations committee
· Pay monthly membership dues, and commission to gallery *
· One-time membership fee of $100
· Attendance at monthly co-op meetings, and working at gallery events.
Membership Application Process:
· Submit application and digital images (see application for requirements)
· Initial review of work by membership
· Interview invitation, review of co-op bylaws, and membership agreement
· Accepted applicants submit membership agreement, membership fee, and first month's dues
· New member orientation

*Current membership offers the artist a choice between $75/month dues with 15% commission paid to gallery,
or $65/month dues and 25% commission to gallery. Membership dues are subject to change.
