Artist Bio: My artwork and photography is a celebration of the spiritual in everyday life- an enthusiasm for our time here on Earth, which is sometimes focused on the serious and sometimes the whimsical. I appreciate the struggles that each of us encounter, and hope to offer something through my artwork that makes that journey a little softer. I am also immensely grateful for the sense of humor that (most of us!) have been given, and enjoy playing with that in my artwork, as well. I enjoy keeping life fresh and spontaneous, never stagnant- and encourage others to do the same. My journey, thus far, has included a Masters' degree in Mental Health, a career working with children and families in the mental health field, an incredibly rewarding career in massage therapy and birth support, a position working alongside my husband in our home renovation business helping people create beautiful, nurturing surroundings as their everyday home environments, extensive domestic and international travel, foster parenting, and now a winding journey through the process of international adoption! Each of these experiences is still woven into the fabric of my everyday life. I am filled with gratitude for all that we each have been offered in life and I believe in making the most of it! My hope is that my artwork conveys those feelings of awe, instills a sense of peace and faith, and sometimes even creates controversy to the extent necessary to shake up old thought patterns and make way for the new! The images that I am drawn to share express the sacredness that I see in "everyday" life. I hope that message comes across in my work! email Echo Echo web site Phone: 336-578-5451 |
