As an artist I am often asked, “Where does your inspiration come from?”
Inspiration comes from something I see or feel, and is most often derived from the natural world.
There is an internal urge present at all times that wants to create.
When something comes along that inspires, it starts to give focus and form to an idea or image. In a sense,
inspiration is the stimulus that releases the internal call.
Art is an expression and response to something. I care most that my paintings convey a sense of feeling.
If they trigger the senses in anyone, I feel well received.
